National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project Application Form – The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project is a five-year initiative by the Government of Kenya aimed at creating employment opportunities, bridging skills gaps, enhancing income generation, and promoting a saving culture among vulnerable youth. The project aligns with Kenya’s vision of reducing youth unemployment and bridging skills gaps among disadvantaged young people.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a Kenyan citizen with a National ID.
- Be aged between 18 and 29 years
- Be between 18 and 35 years for youth with disability (MUST be registered by the National Council for Persons with Disability – NCPWD).
- Have an education level not exceeding Form Four or none
- Not be enrolled in school or college or planning to join within the next 8 months
- Be available for the next 8 months after application
- Have a SIM card registered in your name and a National ID card.
- Not have been a beneficiary of Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP).
Key Interventions
Apprenticeship & Employment
This component focuses on providing apprenticeship and employment opportunities for youth across various trades.

Support for Entrepreneurship
This aims to expand employment opportunities through entrepreneurship development and support to social enterprises.
Youth Savings
To promote a culture of saving among youth, NYOTA has established the Haba Haba Scheme and other savings initiatives. It provides savings incentives
Capacity Build Youth to transact with government
Conduct capacity building of youth on catalytic funds and AGPO for increased uptake on tenders
How to Apply
The NYOTA Project application for Kenya youths is free of charge, and fees are not required.To join the project, applicants must complete the registration process, which includes providing personal information and any necessary documentation. By submitting an application, participants confirm that
the information provided is accurate and complete. Incomplete, fraudulent, and applications with inaccurate information will not be considered.

- County or Sub-County offices of the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy (SDYACE).
- Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) County Offices.
All NYOTA beneficiaries will be automatically enrolled to be members of NSSF Haba Haba savings scheme and shall be issued with NSSF member number as part of the interventions set by the project design to meet its object.
