UNEB To Officially Release 2024 PLE Results on Thursday January 23rd 2025

The Minister for Education and Sports Mama Janet K. Museveni will officially release the results of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at State House Nakasero.

Today, the UNEB team that was led by the Chairperson, Prof. Celestino Obua, briefed the Minister and other Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES) top officials on the general performance of the 2024 PLE candidates. During the briefing, UNEB ED, Mr. Dan N. Odongo revealed that overall, the performance of candidates in 2024 is better than that of 2023.

A total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 examination, compared to 749, 254 in 2023. This represents a percentage increase of 6.6%.

The official release of the results will be streamed live on both UNEB (UNEB_UG) and MOES social media platforms starting at 11:00 a.m.

After the official release, parents, candidates and well wishers will be able to access the results via SMS on their mobile phone handsets by typing <PLE, leave Space>, full Index No, and sending to 6600; e.g. PLE<Space> 00123/356, send to 6600.

The schools will be able to access the results through their portals while printed copies will be picked by the respective District/ City/Municipal Inspectors of Schools.
