Uganda Ministry of Health Releases 2025/2026 Medical Internship Placement List. The Uganda Medical Internship Committee (UMIC) Secretariat has concluded the
placement of medical interns for the period of one (1) year w.e.f 3rd August 2025
to 31st July 2026.

This placement includes graduates who have completed their training this year
2025 and earlier, excluding the nurses and midwives upgrading from Diploma
level whose medical internship was waived as a resolution of the Human Capital
Development Program Interministerial Committee on Health and Education.

The purpose of this letter, therefore, is to forward the list of medical interns
placed at your respective hospitals for your information and further action.

Accordingly, you are advised as follows:

1. To make immediate arrangements to ensure timely commencement of the
internship program.

2. To conduct a facility-based induction/orientation for all the medical
interns before commencement of their clinical deployments.

3. To submit the list of interns who have reported at your respective hospitals
not later than 15th August 2025, to facilitate processing of their allowances.
All deployed interns are expected to report to their stations by 3rd August 2025.
