Call for Application: Twic-East Youth Association (TEYA) Juba Scholarship Program 2025 for Young South Sudanese. The Twic-East Youth Association (TEYA) Juba is a community-based, youth-led organization representing the interests and aspirations of young people from Twic-East County, Jonglei State, who reside in Juba and beyond. TEYA’s programs focus on skills training, entrepreneurship promotion, sports & cultural activities, education support, and peacebuilding initiatives aimed at fostering unity and resilience among the youth.

With its base in Juba, TEYA acts as a central coordination point for youth from Twic-East County who have migrated to the city for education, employment, or safety, ensuring they remain connected to their community roots while actively contributing to South Sudan’s development.

The Twic-East Youth Association (TEYA) in Juba, South Sudan, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its Scholarship Program for the Technical & Vocational Training Program at the Multipurpose Training Centre (MTC) in Juba. This scholarship provides an opportunity for deserving youth from Twic-East County to gain hands-on technical skills that will enhance their employment prospects and entrepreneurial potential. The program fully covers tuition fees, training materials, and practical sessions for the duration of the course.

Mission:

TEYA is a community-based, youth-led organization committed to empowering Twic-East youth through education, skills training, leadership development, and community service. We strive to create a generation of self-reliant, skilled, and productive young people contributing to peacebuilding and socio-economic growth. Founded to unite, empower, and uplift Twic-East youth, TEYA serves as a platform for:

  1. Capacity Building: Providing education, vocational training, and leadership development opportunities to enhance self-reliance and productivity.

  2. Advocacy & Representation: Promoting the voices of Twic-East youth in decision-making forums, policy processes, and community development initiatives.

  3. Community Service & Solidarity: Mobilizing youth to participate in humanitarian, peacebuilding, and socio-economic projects that benefit the wider Twic-East community.

  4. Cultural Preservation: Safeguarding and promoting the rich traditions, values, and identity of the Twic-East people while encouraging positive social transformation.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is intended for young Girls and women who are academically promising but face financial hardships. TEYA Juba is targeting total of 30 scholarship recipients. The selection of the 30 girls must be based on the following criteria:

  • Successfully completed Senior Four (S4)
  • Must be between the Aged 18–35 years
  • Applicant must have a South Sudan National Identity Card
  • Must be Committed to complete the full training program
  • Women and girls are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Residency: Applicant must be staying in Juba
  • Gender: The scholarships are exclusively for girls and young women.
  • Financial Need: Priority will be given to applicants who would otherwise be unable to continue their education due to financial hardship.
  • Academic Performance: Applicants should demonstrate academic merit and be highly motivated learners.
  • Applicant must be from Twic-East County only.

How to apply?

Interested applicants for the TEYA Juba Scholarship 2025 must visit the TEYA Center in Juba to collect an application form, and Pay a non-refundable fee of 20,000 SSP for the application form. Submit the completed Application form along with a copy of National ID and Secondary School Certificate and clearly stating your interest and suitability.
