TRONOX BURSARIES FOR THE 2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

As part of our Bursary Programme we are inviting 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year 2026 students, who will be studying courses aligned to our business needs.

THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES WILL BE CONSIDERED:

B Eng/BSc Degree/ B Tech advanced diploma in:

  • Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Chemical, Process Control)
  • Environmental Science
  • Mine Survey
  • Extraction Metallurgy
  • Geology
  • Information Technology

WHAT THE BURSARY OFFERS:

The comprehensive bursary will cover registration & tuition fees, accommodation & meals, living allowance, book allowance, once-off laptop allowance.
Practical work for bursary holders as prescribed by the institution of study.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY:

In 2025, you are:

  • Currently in Grade 12 or recently matriculated
  • 1st – 4th year undergraduateYou will be evaluated on:
  • June 2025 Grade 12 results or Grade 12 Final results
  • 2025 latest results

Minimum Requirements:

Mathematics & Physical Science (65%); English (65%); university acceptance letter
60% average; Proof of registration by University.

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Applicants can only apply for one discipline
  • Applicants should comply with the minimum entry requirements as prescribed by the relevant universities.
  • Bursary opportunities are only available to South African citizens.
  • Nominated applicants will need to go through a selection process (including psychometric assessments, background screening and medical examinations)
  • Successful candidates should be willing to be placed at any of Tronox Business Unit Operations on completion of studies.
  • Applicants from the local communities surrounding the Namakwa Sands sites (Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities) will be given preference.

Submit these documents on or before 26 September 2025. No other method of application will be considered. Applications received without the supporting documents will not be considered.
