Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education Rolls Out Phased School Supplies and Book Grant Disbursements. The Ministry of Education Trinidad and Tobago advises that disbursements for the School Supplies and Book Grant are being issued on a phased basis. To date, five thousand, two hundred and forty-eight (5,248) payments have been issued, with the remaining 14,752 payments scheduled for completion by September 5th, 2025.
The public is reminded that priority consideration for the School Supplies and Book Grant will be given to applicants in the following categories: individuals receiving public assistance, unemployed persons, persons with disabilities, and low-income households.
Prime Minister, the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC, stated, “This initiative reflects our government’s commitment to equity and educational opportunity for every child. The Ministry of Education has worked tirelessly to ensure that this support reaches those who need it most. By easing the financial burden on families, the School Supplies and Book Grant equips students with the tools they need to learn, grow, and achieve their very best.”
Notifications will be sent directly via email, and beneficiaries are encouraged to regularly monitor their email accounts for payment confirmations.
Payments continue to be forwarded to the bank account number provided by persons who have successfully qualified for the grant. It is expected that all payments will be disbursed by September 5th, 2025.
For those receiving disbursements via cheque, collection will be available at Education District Offices nationwide between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m from Wednesday August 27th, 2025 for persons who received email confirmations.

A valid form of identification – National Identification Card, Driver’s Permit, or Passport – will be required for collection. Cheques can be cashed at any District Revenue Office (see listing attached).
