Sharda University Launches 2025 Scholarships in Partnership with Ministry of Higher Education
Sharda University has officially announced its 2025 Scholarships in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education. This marks an important step towards empowering deserving students in the country.
The event was held on Monday, at the ministry’s conference room at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.
Speaking at the event, the ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Mphatso Nkuonera, said that Sharda University is one of the many internationally recognized universities in the ministry of Higher Education. He says the announcement of the 2025 Scholarships complements Government efforts to educate its citizens, and empowering deserving students.
He added that, this initiative not only fosters academic achievement but also strengthens our community by providing opportunities for those who need them most.
“We are committed to collaborating with the Sharda University to ensure these scholarships promote academic excellence and inclusivity.Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future for our youth. We’re happy because Sharda University is assisting the government to meet the MW2063 aspirations, as your aware, only well educated and skilled labour can actively participate in the development of the country,” Nkuonera said.
In his remarks, Director of International Relations from Sharda University, Rahul Pal, emphasized on the importance of the collaboration that is there between their university and the Ministry of Higher education. He said that they have offered almost 300 scholarships since 2017.
“We are excited to offer scholarships specifically for Malawian students, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and fostering cross-cultural collaboration. These scholarships are designed to support talented individuals in pursuing their dreams at Sharda University. We believe that investing in education is key to uplifting communities and building a brighter future.
“We are glad to announce that this year Sharda university is offering more than 200 places to study in India, these scholarships have their fees slashed up to 50 per cent depending on the course one applies for.” Pal said
These scholarships for Malawian students are crucial as they provide access to quality education and empower youth to achieve their academic and career goals. They also promote socio-economic development by nurturing skilled professionals who can contribute to the nation’s growth.
