SASSA Internship Programme 2025 for Unemployed Graduates in Northern Cape

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the 2025 Internship Programme for unemployed graduates in the Northern Cape. This opportunity provides young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 with practical experience in public service. The programme aims to build skills in key administrative and operational fields within SASSA regional and district offices.

Successful applicants will receive a 24-month internship contract with a monthly stipend of R7,860.50. This initiative supports youth empowerment and helps bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace experience.

Available Internship Positions

a. Regional Office – Kimberley

  1. Disability Management / Operations Management

    • Reference No: SAS NC 25/09/01

    • Qualification Required: National Diploma or Degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related qualification.

  2. Human Capital Management

    • Reference No: SAS NC 25/09/02

    • Qualification Required: National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or Public Management.

  3. Supply Chain Management

    • Reference No: SAS NC 25/09/03

    • Qualification Required: National Diploma or Degree in Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, or Economics. Applicants must attach an academic record.

Preference Order:
African Male, Coloured Male, White Male, Indian Male, Indian Female, or White Female at the time of appointment.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Hold a National Diploma or Degree recognized by SAQA.
  • Be unemployed graduates seeking workplace experience.
  • Meet the specific qualification requirements listed for each internship position.
