RWANDA LAUNCHES THE PISA 2025 MAIN SURVEY
The Ministry of Education, through the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), is pleased to announce Rwanda’s participation in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025 Main Survey. The assessment will be conducted nationwide from April 28 to June 7, 2025, involving 7,455 students from 213 schools across the country.

Coordinated by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), PISA evaluates the competencies of 15-year-old students in reading, mathematics, and science, with a strong emphasis on their ability to apply knowledge to real-world problems. Rwanda’s participation underscores its commitment to enhancing the quality of education and benchmarking performance against 91 other participating countries.

The official national launch of PISA 2025 will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at GS Camp Kigali, beginning at 9:00 AM, and will be officiated by the Minister of Education, Joseph Nsengimana. On the same day, the Minister of State in charge of Education, Claudette Irere, will preside over the launch activities at Nu-Vision High School in Gasabo District.
