PNG POWER LIMITED – APPRENTICE PROGRAM 2025
The Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide hands on experience, training and mentoring to develop in-depth skills of the trade area, in line with PNG Power’s vision and mission. PNG Power will consider applicants in the following discipline, Electrical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Maintenance Fitting & Machining (MFM), Electrical Lines (Transmission & Distribution) and Power Station Operators.
The four (4) years of training will include hands on job training exposure in various PNG Power Operational areas as well as block course training in your respective trade at the PNG Power Training College.

To be eligible candidates must meet the following:
Qualification
- Have successfully completed and attained a Technical Training Certificate (TTC) or National Certificate 1 & 2 or 3 (NC1 & NC2 or NC3)
- Electrotechnology
- Maintenance Fitting & Machining
- Diesel Heavy Equipment Fitting
Personal Attributes & Skills
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 25
- Single with no dependent
- Not be convicted of any criminal offense
- Have strong leadership characteristics
- Have good communication skills (Oral, Written and Interpersonal)
- Have the ability to work in a team and or a team player
- Must have strong industrial work ethics with integrity

- Expression of Interest Letter
- Updated Curriculum Vita (CV)
- Copies of educational qualification
- (2X) Character reference from current school/employer or a recognized person in the community.
- 3-6 months On the Job Training experience would be an added advantage
- Copy of either a Birth Certificate, National Identification Card (NID) or Police Clearance
