Call for Application – Partners in Hope (PIH) Malawi Recruitment 2025 for Various Districts. Partners in Hope (PIH) is a faith-based Malawian Non-Governmental organization that was established in 2004 to offer equitable health services and founded on robust commitment to support National HIV and AIDS response in Malawi.
PIH is seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to be deployed in various districts across Malawi in the following positions:
1. HIV DIAGONISTIC ASSISTANT (280)
Location:PIH supported Facilities
Reports to:Facility/Cluster Lead
POSITION SUMMARY
The HIV Diagnostic Assistant (HDA) will conduct HIV risk assessments and provide quality HIV-related testing, counseling and other testing services. The HDA will ensure effective linkage and referrals of recipients
of care to care and treatment services including proper documentation in relevant tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Risk Assessment, Pre- test Education, Post-test Counseling for both on-site and outreach/mobile
services.
b. Conduct demonstration and distribution of self-tests kits for HIV.
c. Screening for PrEP eligibility and referring eligible clients for oral or CAB LA injectable PrEP initiation
d. Conduct condom use demonstration as part of the Prevention With Positives component
e. Provide HIV Testing and other related test including but not limited to HIV RDT, syphilis RDT, HepB RDT, VL, DNA-PCR (DBS, plasma, POC), CD4 (rapid and whole blood), urine LAM, serum CrAg, DBS for repeat inconclusive results.
f. Ensure there is proper recording and storage of documentation of all client services in standard M&E tools; monthly reporting of aggregate service data following MOH standards.
g. Contact elicitation for active / passive index testing, follow-up, and HIV status ascertainment of contacts, including HIV testing, active referral for HIV infected contacts.
h. Documentation and reporting of stock and utilization data for all commodities at delivery points.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Malawi school certificate of Education (MSCE) with credits in Science Subjects and English.
• Certified HIV Testing and Counseling provider by MoH including skills intensive Training and three test algorithm
2. STATISTICAL CLERK (178)
Location : PIH Supported Facilities
Reports to: Facility Lead
POSITION SUMMARY
A Statistical Clerk will directly contribute to strengthening facility level data management, improving data quality and timely data collection and reporting, and assisting in building capacity of other frontline health staff to utilize their owndata to meet the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets for HIV testing, treatment & retention and viral load suppression.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Work alongside MoH facility Statistical Clerk in ensuring day to day documentation of patient level data in available national registries and EMR systems.
b. Take lead in overseeing documentation and completeness of patient records in program
customized monitoring tools i.e. index case testing register, patient follow up register, viral load
register, and others.
c. Support retention and back to care services by generating lists of clients for missed appointments,
interruption in treatment, non-ART start, high viral load, positive DNC_PCR, etc. for facility staff to
follow-up and document outcomes.
d. Liaise with facility MoH Statistical Clerk to update patient records ensuring all entered hard copy
data are updated in electronic systems and properly labeled and archived/stored in a systematic
manner to facilitate easy retrieval when necessary.
e. Document Viral Load/DNA_PCR results on patient master cards and in the electronic medical records as appropriate.
f. Collect and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual data/indicators as required by the
donor, MoH and other program data requirements.
g. Liaise with the MoH Statistical Clerks to resolve all inconsistencies/errors identified in the data
QUALIFICATIONS
• Secondary School Education (MSCE)
• Thorough understanding of health facility set up in Malawi
• Knowledge or Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) in Malawi to manage patient level data and reporting
• Strong knowledge or experience with HIV/AIDS prevention, counselling, care
3. TREATMENT SUPPORTER (289)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Treatment Supporter is responsible for providing recipients of care with support including counselling related to HIV prevention, care, and treatment, follow up for those interrupting treatment, and supporting Welcome back to care services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Conduct structured treatment literacy sessions in designated areas (HF) to create demand for HIV testing, adherence, viral load, retention, VMMC and other services.
b. Conduct screening for HIV testing eligibility in OPD for high yield of HIV testing
c. Conduct screening for index case testing among eligible HIV positive clients (New, HVL, defaulters), and referral of contacts to HIV testing services.
d. Conduct systematic TB and Covid 19 screening in ART and OPD and referring clients to appropriate services.
e. Conduct screening for depression among recipients of care accessing HIV services and refer those with depression to psychosocial counselors for advanced support.
f. Conduct screening for eligibility to other HIV related services e.g., cervical cancer screening, PrEP, family planning, etc.
g. Facilitate referral of patients and caregivers to community-based care and support services including OVC.
h. Provide comprehensive individualized counselling to clients with high and moderate risk and follow up in care based on protocol.
i. Collaborate with community-based partners providing psychosocial support to ART clients to refer clients from community to facility and vice -versa.
