Otjiwarongo Municipality Application for Exemption from Payment Of Assessment Rates 2025/26
Notice is hereby given in terms of the provisions of Section 75 (1) of the Local Authorities Act (Act 23 of 1992), as amended that applications are invited from institutions or organisations that meet the criteria for the exemption from payment of assessment rates.
Provisions under Section 75(1) of the Act states:
Any land or building used exclusively and which have a principle purpose of operation of a church, mission, hospital, school or hostel can apply for the exemption of assessment rates on such properties.
Application forms
Application forms can be obtained from Front Office at the Municipal Head Office situated at No. 2 Kreft Street, Otjiwarongo or retrieved from the Council’s website.
Closing Date for Submission:
Completed application forms must be placed in the Submission Box on or before Saturday, 31 May 2025 not later than 16:30. As per Section 75 (3) of the Local Authorities Act (Act 23 of 1992), submissions received after 31 May 2025 will not be considered.
