Call for Application – Ogun State Traffic Compliance And Enforcement (TRACE) 2025 Recruitment.Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has approved the recruitment of new operatives into the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, (TRACE), as part of plan to boost the Agency’s operational capacity.

The Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency is a Para-military Agency saddled with the administration and control of road traffic matters in Ogun State. The Agency is recruiting young, vibrant, intelligent and patriotic individuals who are interested in making a career in Traffic Management. Interested applicants can only apply ONCE for any of the under listed positions for the Agency’s consideration for employment. duplication of application will be disqualified:

A. CATEGORIES

1. Traffic Officer II GL.08

Officers Cadre

Qualification: Applicants must possess a First Degree or its equivalent qualifications in Humanities, Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Environmental Studies from a recognized institution of learning and NYSC Discharge Certificates/Exemption Certificate.

Qualification: Applicants must possess First Degree or its equivalent qualifications in Humanities, Social Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Environmental Studies from a recognized institution of learning and NYSC Discharge Certificates/Exemption Certificate.

2. Higher Traffic Superintendent GL.08/Traffic Superintendent GL.07

Superintendent Cadre

Qualification: Applicants must possess Higher National Diploma for GL.08 and National Certificate in Education (NCE) for GL.07 or its equivalent in Humanities, Social Sciences, Technologies, Engineering/transportation, Environmental & other related discipline from a recognized institution of learning and NYSC Discharge Certificates/Exemption Certificate.

3. Assistant Traffic Superintendent GL.06

Superintendent Cadre

Qualification: Applicants must possess Ordinary National Diploma or its Equivalent in Humanities and Social Sciences, Technologies, Engineering/ Transportation, Environmental & other related discipline from a recognized institution.

4. Traffic Assistant GL.04

Assistant Cadre

Qualification: Applicants must possess the following Qualifications: Secondary School Certificate with at least (4) credits obtained at one sitting or five (5) credits at two sitting including English and Mathematics in either WAEC, NECO or GCE.

5. Traffic Assistant GL.04

Assistant Cadre (Patrol Driver/Rider)

Qualification: Applicants must possess the following Qualifications: Secondary School Certificate with at least (4) credits obtained at one sitting or five (5) credits at two sitting including English and Mathematics in either WAEC, NECO or GCE or evidence of a full course in a Government Approved Secondary School plus Driver’s/Riders in a specified class of license and Trade Test Grade I, II and III with relevant years of experience for prospective drivers/riders.

6. Traffic Assistant GL.03

Assistant Cadre

Qualification: Applicants must possess the following Qualifications: Secondary School Certificate with at least (3) credits obtained at one sitting or four (4) credits at two sitting including English or Mathematics in either WAEC, NECO or GCE.

7. Traffic Assistant GL.03

Assistant Cadre (Patrol Driver/Rider)

Qualification: Applicants must possess the following Qualifications: Secondary School Certificate with at least 3) credits obtained at one sitting or four (4) credits at two sitting including English or Mathematics in either WAEC, NECO or GCE or evidence of a full course in a Government Approved Secondary School plus Driver’s/Riders in a specified class of license and Trade Test Grade I, II and III with relevant years of experience for prospective drivers/riders.

B. METHOD OF APPLICATION – Ogun State Traffic Compliance And Enforcement (TRACE) 2025 Recruitment

Application is online through the PORTAL, fill in the TRACE 2025 Recruitment Form, 
shortlisted applicants will be required to come along with printed out of the form for screening.

C. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

Application should be submitted online within two (2) weeks of this publications and screening commences thereafter.

D. REQUIREMENTS

i. Computer Literacy and possession of Valid Driver’s License shall be an added advantage for all cadres.

ii. Any certificate or qualification NOT declared or tendered and accepted at the point of recruitment cannot be subsequently presented for career progression in the Agency

iii. Applicant must not be below 18years and not above 35years of age in 2025.

iv. Applicant must be certified physically and mentally fit by a Medical Practitioner from a Government Hospital.

v. Applicant must not have previous criminal record(s).

vi. Applicant must not be less than 1.65meters in height for Men or 1.60meters for Women (pregnant woman or nursing mother need not apply for the interview procedures and subsequent training for appointment).

vii. Applicant must present 2 verifiable references one of whom must be from the Chairman of his or her Local Government in Ogun State.

viii. Applicant must not have Tatoo on any part of their body.

ix. Applicant must be free from any form of financial embarrassment.

E. SCREENING & DATE

Screening exercise shall be performed in line with paramilitary details in conjunction with the Bureau of Establishments and Training & the State Civil Service Commission.

✓ Ogun Central (6LGAs – Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Ewekoro, Ifo, Obafemi Owode and Odeda) Tuesday: 20th May, 2025 Time: 0800hrs Venue: Asero Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State

✓ Ogun West (5LGAs – Ado odo Ota, Imeko Afon, Ipokia, Yewa North and Yewa South Thursday: 22nd May, 2025 Time: 0800hrs Venue: Empire Ground, Ilaro, Ogun State

✓ Ogun East (9LGAs – Ijebu East, Ijebu North, Ijebu North East, Ijebu-Ode, Ikenne, Odogbolu, Ogun Waterside, Remo North and Sagamu) Saturday: 24th May, 2025 Time: 0800hrs Venue: Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State

F. TRAINING, APPOINTMENT & PROBATION

Selected candidates will be required to undergo a 6 Week Intensive Theoretical/Practical Training Course on Basic Road Traffic Management techniques which demands very high standard of physical and mental ability. The training and subsequent practical work will be interesting and excellent facilities for sporting games and other forms of recreation will be available. Any candidate who fails the end of course exam or whose conduct at any time during the course is considered unsatisfactory will have his/her appointment nullified.

On successful completion of the 6weeks course, appointment letter will be issued by the Civil Service Commission and candidates will be advanced to subsequent rank in line with the TRACE Agency Scheme of Service. Probation period of 2 years which automatically would be spent on the field as a Traffic Operatives in any part of the state, as a prelude to confirmation of appointment. For the period of 2years probation, no lady Traffic Operative would be allowed to get pregnant. Any Traffic Operative caught extorting/taking bribe from the motoring public will be prosecuted in line with the antigraft bill and be subjected to Senior Staff or Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee of Civil Service Commission for disciplinary procedures.

The Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency is a Para-military Agency saddled with the administration and control of road traffic matters in Ogun State.
