NYOTA Application Cycle 1 Business Support Close: Next steps to follow – To all Kenya youths that applied for the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) kindly note that applications for Cycle 1 Business Support are closed.

Successful youth will be contacted via the number used during the application. A call will soon be placed for youth interested in skills training and Recognition of Prior Learning.

The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project is a 5-year initiative by the Government of Kenya, aimed at creating employment opportunities, bridging skills gaps, enhancing income generation, and promoting a saving culture among vulnerable youth aged 18-29 and up to 35 for PWDs.

Some of the benefits for NYOTA  include: Improving their employability, increasing their earnings, encouraging a saving culture through the NSSF Haba Haba savings plan, equipping them with skills to run profitable businesses, provision of business start-up capital to selected beneficiaries, enhancing their marketability in the workforce.

To qualify for the program,applicants must be a Kenyan citizen with a National ID, be aged between 18 and 29 years, be between 18 and 35 years for youth with disability (MUST be registered by the National Council for Persons with Disability – NCPWD),have an education level not exceeding Form Four or none. Not be enrolled in school or college or planning to join within the next 8 months, Be available for the next 8 months after application, Have a SIM card registered in your name and a National ID card, Not have been a beneficiary of Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP).
