Rwanda National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) Launch 2024/2025 National Practical Examinations.The Ministry of Education, through the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), officially launches the 2024/2025 National Practical Examinations on Monday, May 19, 2025 at ESSA Nyarugunga in Kicukiro District at at 08:30 AM.
The launch will be officiated by the Minister of State for Education, Irere Claudette, marking the beginning of a nationwide practical assessment campaign aimed at evaluating hands-on competencies in alignment with Rwanda’s Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competence-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&CBA) framework.
This year, the National Practical Examinations will be conducted from May 19 to June 6, 2025, targeting 63,701 candidates from various fields of study, including Technical Secondary Schools (TSS) with 36,267 candidates across 29 trades; Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) with 3,829 candidates; Accounting (ACC) with 3,893 candidates; Associate Nursing Program (ANP) including 439 candidates and Science Combinations (General Education) with 18,662 ca ndidates participating in Project- Based Assessments (PBA) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
In the 2024/2025 school year, the national science practical exams will, for the first time, be administered as learning projects.
