OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: 2024/2025 PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES SELECTION RESULTS RELEASED
The Malawi National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) 2024/2025 Public Universities Selection Results Released. The Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Jessie Kabwila, has officially announced the results for the 2024/2025 Public Universities Selection for the 6 public universities plus Nalikule and Domasi Colleges!
General Statistics from the 6 public universities:
- Total Applicants: 24,582
- Total Selected: 12,819
- Male Candidates: 7,627
- Female Candidates: 5,202
- Special Needs Candidates: 95
- Results show increase of 27%
- General results for Nalikule and Domasi Colleges:
- Total Selected: 1,365
- Male Candidates: 794
- Female Candidates: 562
- Total Results of the 6 universities plus Nalikule and Domasi Colleges:
- Total Selected: 14,175
- Male Candidates: 8,421
- Female Candidates: 5,764
This is representing a gender parity of 59% male and 41% female.
This marks another milestone in Malawi’s higher education journey and NCHE’s successful coordination of the harmonized students selection into public universities!
