National Youth Service Programme (NYS) Phase IV Recruitment 2025 for South Africans – Application for Recruitment of Unemployed Youth for the National Youth Service Programme (NYS) Phase IV – Community Based Service opportunities are now open for South African youths.
1. Charisma music foundation- Participants will engage learners through sports activities, including warm-ups, skills drills, and friendly matches, while assisting teachers with group management. They will facilitate small-group creative sessions in art or music, coordinate after-school sports events, and prepare simple reports on learner participation and outcomes to support program improvement.

2. Cricket South Africa – Participants will be assigned to one of the following roles supporting our cricket development program: Hub Coaches, Administrators, Marketing, Coaches and Umpires. All roles contribute directly to the success of our youth cricket development initiative while providing valuable professional experience in sports administration and coaching.

3. Kwetso Foundation – Participants will actively contribute to community development through assigned tasks while participating in implementing partner programs. The role involves regular work activities with flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors, ensuring successful project implementation.

4. Ulwazi Lethu – Participants will assist NGOs/Schools within the communities with gardening, maintenance, feeding schemes and learning programmes.

5. Seriti Institute – Participants will be engaged in community service activities, supporting various activities in early childhood development, surveys & mapping, agriculture & climate resilience, and enterprise development.

6. Southern African Association of youth clubs (SAAYC) – Participants will apply their existing skills while acquiring new ones, gaining valuable experience that can lead to better career opportunities. The program includes comprehensive training in orientation, life skills, and work readiness, preparing youth for successful transitions into sustainable livelihoods and personal development.

7. Sport for social change network – Participants will engage in vegetable production on farms, learning sustainable farming techniques while promoting balanced diets and healthy eating habits. They will assist in setting up and maintaining community and home gardens, helping to improve local food access. Additionally, they will explore market linkages to support the sale of locally grown produce, fostering economic opportunities for farmers and communities.

8. Spotlite eductaion foundation – Participants will carry out assigned duties to support project implementation while actively contributing to meaningful community development through their work.

9. Youth life – Participants will serve local communities at designated implementation sites (schools and non-profit organizations), facilitating extra-mural programs focused on arts & culture, sports, and learner support.

10. Community Chest – Participants to coordinate and support the Youth and After School Programme. This role is focused on empowering young people through structured, engaging, and developmental after-school activities that promote learning, leadership, and life skills.

Selection Criteria:
South African citizen with a valid ID
Must be between the ages of 18 – 35
Reside within the respective local municipality/community near the site to be covered by implementing partner
Easily accessible to site of implementing partner
Preference for unemployed youth not in education employment or training (NEET).
Meaningfully benefit the community in which the programme takes place and be completed to a high standard
Must not have been part of the previous phases
Duration
6 months or 384 hours for these community-based service opportunities.
Stipend
R23.19 per hour per month (working 16 hours per week)
