MUST First Semester 2025/26 Opening Dates And Registration Process.Management of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce opening dates for the first semester of the 2025/26 academic year on Monday, July 7, 2025. All academic activities for the year will commence on this date.

Arrival Dates for New Students

Students selected to start their first year at MUST are advised to report on campus in Thyolo on Sunday, June 29, 2025, for orientation beginning Monday, June 30. This includes all new undergraduate students (generic and non-generic).

Transport Arrangements:

• Pickup points: Meru Filling Station near Illovo Head Office, Limbe

• Times: 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:30 PM on June 29, 2025.

• Students arriving outside these times must arrange their own transport.

Arrival Dates for Continuing Students

All continuing students must report on Monday, July 7, 2025, for classes starting Tuesday, July 8.

Transport Arrangements:

• Pickup from Meru Filling Station, Limbe, at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:30 PM on July 7.

Orientation Program for New Students

• Dates: June 30 – July 4, 2025

• Mandatory for all new students.

• Covers academic policies, support services, and campus life.

Hostel Room Allocation

• Released on June 25, 2025.

• Check official university platforms for updates.

Meals

• The university does not provide meals.

• Students must buy meals from the cafeteria or private caterers.

• Bring personal funds for daily expenses.

Fees Payment

1. Payment Options:

   • Full or partial payments accepted.

   • Only students with payments qualify for registration.

   • New students must make partial payments for tuition and accommodation.

   • Continuing students must clear arrears before paying new fees.

2. Room Allocation:

   • Full accommodation payment required for room allocation.

   • Late payers will get remaining available rooms.

3. Payment Methods:

   • No cash or mobile money accepted.

   • Deposit into university bank accounts:

Fees Structure

• Generic Students:

  • Tuition: K650,000/year (installments per semester).

  • Accommodation: K160,000/year or K80,000/semester (paid in full per semester).

• Non-Generic Students: Fees as per admission notice.

• Continuing Students: Unchanged fees.
