INTAKE OF INTERNS INTO THE 2025/26 GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
(THE 11th COHORT)

The Ministry of Labour Malawi wishes to inform the general public that the list of successful candidates for the 11th cohort of the Graduate Internship Programme has been released. The internship period will run from July 2025 to June 2026.
The public is informed that Ministry officials will be dispatched to all districts to facilitate the signing of contracts and completion of GP1 forms by the newly recruited interns. A detailed schedule outlining the dates and venues for the contract signing across all districts is attached to this release.
All interns are required to present the following documents during this exercise:
Original and two photocopies of their degree certificate
Original and two photocopies of their National Identity Card
Two recent passport-size photographs
Interns are advised to verify their bank account details in advance to ensure that only valid account numbers are submitted for stipend processing.
The Ministry would like to request all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to comply with the policy on one (1) year internship duration. Retention of Interns by some of the (MDAs) beyond the one-year duration contravenes the policy.
The Ministry is calling upon all heads of MDAs to actively engage interns in meaningful tasks that will help them gain practical experience. Heads of MDAs are requested to welcome and support new interns to ensure that they are properly oriented and are smoothly transitioned into their assigned workplaces.
The Ministry appreciates the continued collaboration of all stakeholders in making the Internship Programme a success.
