The Principal Secretary, Kenya State Department for TVET Dr. Esther Thaara Muoria (PS Tvet Esther Muoria) today presided over the launch of the Youth Employment Innovation Multidonor Trust Fund(YEI-MDTF Grant Project by the African Development Bank (AFDB) in an event held at Kempinski hotel.
This project, supported by AfDB under the GoK/AfDB “Support to TVET and Entrepreneurship (TVETE) Phase III project, will be implemented by the State Department for TVET in collaboration with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA)and will see the capacity building of TVET trainees for growth, stability and sustainability of youth entreprises while also improving TVET – Industry linkage through mentorship and training in job readiness and entrepreneurship.
The one year Youth Employment Innovation Multidonor Trust Fund(YEI-MDTF) Grant Project supported by the Africa Development Bank (AfDB) at a tune of 120 million adds on the extensive support that AfDB has has been offering to the TVET sector for the last 15 years.
In attendance was Kenya Private Sector Alliance Chief Executive Officer Carole Kariuki, KEPSA deputy chief executive officer Dr. Ehud Gachugu, TVET Principals from 50 TVET institutions, KEPSA TVET sector chair Priscilla Kerebi, Ministry officials among other guests.
