KMTC News – Murang’a Campus Welcomes New Mobile Dialysis Unit- The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Murang’a Campus students and staff received a rare opportunity to witness the launch of a state-of-the-art mobile dialysis unit in Murang’a County.

The new facility, officially opened by Governor Dr. Irungu Kang’ata on February 22, 2025, is designed to enhance healthcare access for residents in remote areas.

Commenting on the facility during the flagging off of the KMTC Zone Four competitions at Murang’a Teachers Training College on Monday, March 3, 2025, Murang’a County Deputy Governor, Hon. Stephen Mburu, noted that the unit would serve as a practical training site for KMTC students.

“We are modernizing our healthcare, and in doing so, we are creating opportunities for KMTC students to operate modern facilities, which will boost their practical skills,” he said.

CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch expressed gratitude to the county for its unwavering support, highlighting the collaboration that enables the College to deliver high-quality training to future healthcare professionals.

He also acknowledged the county’s contribution in seconding staff to support KMTC’s training programs.
