In todays latest KMTC News – Mandera County is set to mark a historic milestone as KMTC Mandera Campus prepares for its grand official opening tomorrow, February 4, 2024. The KMTC Board of Management, led by Chairperson Mr. Joseah Cheruiyot and CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch, has arrived ahead of the launch which will be presided over by H.E. President William Ruto.

This occasion is more than a ceremonial launch, it signifies a transformative step in expanding access to quality healthcare training in Kenya’s northeastern region.

Established in 2018, with its first intake in April 2019, KMTC Mandera Campus has emerged as a beacon of opportunity, growth, and resilience.

Its presence in the region represents a critical investment in human capital, equipping aspiring healthcare professionals with the skills necessary to strengthen the local and national health system.

The campus is strategically designed to offer a secure, modern, and conducive learning environment, featuring state-of-the-art facilities that support both academic and residential needs.

Students benefit from two advanced medical laboratories, providing hands-on training that enhances their practical skills.

Recognizing the importance of a comfortable and secure living environment, the campus has two hostel blocks, each accommodating 250 students, creating an atmosphere that promotes both academic excellence and personal well-being. With its well-established digital and modern infrastructure, KMTC Mandera Campus offers a variety of certificate and diploma programs tailored to meet the growing demand for healthcare professionals.

These programs include Health Care Assistance, Community Health and Development, Community Health Nursing, Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
