Kampala International University (KIU) January 2025 Bursary Requirements

– Photocopy of your KIU admission letter

– Recommendation from District LC5, LC3 or Mayor.

– Pay the total bursary amount for your programme – 50% for programmes (1-3 years), 60% for programmes (4 years and above), and 80% for in-service programmes.

– Submit a photocopy of academic documents (S4 and above), including a bank slip of your half payment to the Bursary office at any of our campuses. Attach one passport photo.

– Wait for a message of confirmation of the award letter from the bursary office.

NOTE: Awarding of bursary is based on first come, first served. The student should submit the above documents in person.

• 27th – 28th January, 2025 – Reporting and Registration
• 29th January, 2025 – Orientation and Matriculation
• 30th January, 2025 – Schools/Colleges Orientation
• 31st January, 2025 – Departmental Orientation – 3rd February, 2025 – Commencement of Lectures.

ABOUT KIU

Kampala International University (KIU) is a private, not-for-profit institution based in Uganda. It was established in 2001 and assumed chartered status in 2009.

In pursuit of the dream to raise the next generation of problem solvers for the East African region and indeed the whole of Africa, the University operates a multi-campus system which consists of two campuses in Uganda (The Main campus in Kampala and the Western Campus in Ishaka-Bushenyi); one other university in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

The University which started as a typical degree-awarding institution has now grown into the number one Private University in Uganda and is currently ranked 2nd in Uganda and 4th in East Africa according to the latest 2024 Webometric Ranking.
