Applications are now open for IFA CrossCulture Programme (CCP) Fellowships 2026 for Young Professionals and Volunteers ( Fully funded to Germany).The CrossCulture Programme (CCP), funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), is offering 2026 CCP Fellowships for professionals and volunteers from over 40 countries. The fellowship provides participants with an opportunity to gain professional experience in Germany or CCP partner countries while promoting international collaboration and intercultural understanding.
Each year, around 55 to 60 fellows spend two to three months working with host organisations, taking part in workshops, and building global networks that strengthen their professional and social engagement.
Programme Overview
The CCP Fellowship supports individuals committed to civil society work by fostering global connections and knowledge exchange. Fellows contribute their expertise to host institutions while acquiring new skills and perspectives that they apply upon returning to their home countries.
The 2026 edition will primarily take place on-site in Germany or partner countries. Digital participation may be possible depending on travel and personal circumstances.
Application Period: 15 October – 10 December 2025.

Eligible applicants must be citizens or residents of one of the following:
Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Philippines, Republic of Moldova, Russia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The list of participating countries is determined annually by ifa and the German Federal Foreign Office.
Eligibility
- Minimum age is 23 years at the time of application.
- Work experience: At least two years of proven professional experience or volunteer work in a civil society organisation in the home country.
- Language skills: Solid command of written and spoken English (as English is the main language of the programme, for example in the transcultural workshop).
- Health status: Ability to undertake a prolonged stay abroad (If you have any questions or doubts related to this prerequisite, please contact crossculture(at)ifa.de).
- Exclusion criteria: students are not eligible to participate in the programme.
