ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS

a. Graduate Assistant: Requires First Degree with First Class.
b. Assistant Lecturer: Requires a Master’s Degree, LLR/BL and allied medical degrees plus internship and recognised professional certificate.
c. Lecturer II: Requires a Ph.D. or a Master’s Degree with relevant experience and professional certifications. MBBS or BDS holders with full registration.
d. Lecturer I: Requires a Ph.D. with at least 5 publications plus 3 years’ post-qualification experience or Master’s Degree with 7 publications and 5 years of cognate experience, an MBBS or BDS holder with Postgraduate fellowship.
e. Senior Lecturer: Requires a Ph.D. or its equivalent with 10 publications and 6 years of relevant experience.
f. Associate Professor: Requires a Ph.D. or its equivalent with 15 publications, 9 years cognate experience, and must be the lead author in at least 5 publications.
g. Professor: Requires a Ph.D. or its equivalent with 20 publications, 12 years cognate experience, and must be the lead author in at least 10 publications.

Note:

• The phrase Ph.D. and its equivalent; equivalent refers to Medical Postgraduate Fellowship like FWCP, FNCP etc.

• For all Academic Positions other than Graduate Assistant a Candidate must have a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree apart from the Postgraduate Degree(s).
