ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION BOSS CARRIES OUT ON THE SPOT ASSESSMENT OF REFUSE AT DESIGNATED AND UNDESIGNATED SPOTS WITHIN YENAGOA METROPOLIS
Mr. Timothy Diekivie, Chairman of the Bayelsa State Environmental Sanitation Authority, carried out an on the spot assessment tour to some designated spot across the state, to get first-hand information on refuse disposal at the various designated areas in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Mr. Amaebi Alamene, Public Relations Officer to the Authority, in a statement made available to newsmen, said the Environmental Sanitation Boss who noted that the move followed his drive in ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment within Yenagoa metropolis, also observed indiscriminate disposal of wastes by residents at some of these spots within the state capital.
Mr. Timothy who commended Brikari Ltd, waste management company for doing a good job in the state, applauded them for applying healthy measures by wearing face mask, hand gloves, helmets, and most especially regular fumigation before and after evacuation.

He however, expressed displeasure at the timing of evacuating refuse, urging them to rather dispose refuse at various spots very early in the morning before commuters come out for their daily activities.
