When is the Deadline for Botswana Examination Council 2025 BGCSE Private Candidate Registration? The Botswana Examinations Council would like to inform the public that the registration of the 2025 BGCSE Private Candidates will close on 30 May 2025. Please note that registration includes capturing of data into the system as well as completion of the payment. To that end, BEC will not accept any registration including payments made after deadline of 30 May 2025.
Candidates who will deposit money into the BEC account after the deadline will only be refunded next year June as per the EA/RM/G05 – Guidelines for Registration of BGCSE Private Candidates.

Registered candidates should note the following:
- Candidates must download their statement of entries on time before the start of examination. To print your statement of entry, you must log on to your existing registration with your application number and password.
- Any submission of syllabus or option amendment made after the closing date will attract a penalty as per the Registration Guidelines. However, BEC will NOT receive any syllabus amendments after 30 June 2025.
- Penalties are however not applied for changes made on candidate names, date of birth and ID number. The changes on candidate names, date of birth and ID number can be made until after the results are published using the Amendment Form.
- Transfers maybe requested by candidates using the EA/RM/P02/F03 – Candidate Transfer Request and such requests should be done no more than one (1) month after the closing date for registration. Transfers will only be allowed until 30 June 2025, and no candidate will be allowed to request for transfer after the stipulated date.
Candidates are advised to contact BEC if they do not receive an SMS prompting them to print the statement of entry 2 weeks after they have made the payment. Furthermore, candidates who did not use their application number as reference when paying should also contact BEC at 3650743/913/742/883/764/947/700.

APPLICATION FOR ACCESS ARRANGEMENT
Candidates who have registered or are yet to register for the 2025 examinations are reminded that the submission deadline of applications for Access Arrangements is 30 June 2025. The documents; guidelines and application forms, may be accessed from the BEC website at www.bec.co.bw. It is important that the correct procedure is followed when applying for access arrangements.
Whilst every effort will be made to cater for all applicants, BEC regrets that applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
