Commissioner of Environment Hon Ebi Ben Ololo Receives the Tropical Research And Conservative Centre (TRCC) Team

The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Environment Hon Ebi Ben Ololo Receives the Tropical Research And Conservative Centre (TRCC) Team. The Centre who came in their number for the visit,said their visit was mainly to Congratulate the Commissioner on his appointment and to chat out ways of conserving and preserving the mangrove forest by planting trees today.

The team expresesd that,Healthy mangrove forests can store that carbon for millennia, providing a natural way to prevent it from being released into the atmosphere and contributing to climate change.

The Commissioner also received the Ecosystem Committee, led by Dr. Hephzibah Suobo and other leaders, they equally came for familiarization to the Ministry and to profer workable ideas to protect the Ecosystem.

The Committee stressed that protecting the ecosystems is so important because they are not only crucial to our survival but also to the survival of all plants and animals on Earth, that,Ecosystems provide us with pure air, clean water, food, shelter, and countless other necessities.

The Honourable Commissioner who had in attendance, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Clinton Korubo Uncle, Head of Human Resources, Mr. Julius Laye , HOD Forestry, Mrs. Susan Oyadougha and, Mr. Jeremiah Dagana, HOD, Climate change, said he is elated by the Visit of the two prominent bodies as far the Environment it sustainability is concerned.

My ministry is always Open to collaborate and partner with relevance agencies and NGOs as far as it is for the service of the people and the well-being of the Society, I am looking forward to more meetings with you based on what we have discussed in a way to serve the State better, Ololo Stated!
