CLOSURE OF ALL FORESTS ACTIVITIES IN BAYELSA STATE, ENVIRONMENT COMMISSIONER RECEIVE CENTRAL TIMBER DEALERS ASSOCIATION,
Bayelsa State commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo in the early hours of today, received the Leadership of Central Timber Dealers Association of Bayelsa State, led by their Chairman, Amos Lucky Erepadei.
The visiting Association in a Statement said, they came to plead with the Ministry of Environment to show clemency over the Closure of wooden activities in the State.
Recalled that, the Bayelsa State Ministry of Environment recently announced immediate closure of all forests activities in Bayelsa State.
In his response, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo said his Ministry’s decision to close all wooden activities in Bayelsa State is in the best interest of everyone.

I am doing this and it will be done so well for the betterment of our forest, we must be cordinated, and proper cognizance must be followed for us to get it right.
Forests activities will be declared open again, but till then, let us be more cordinated for the general Interest of Bayelsa State, Ololo stated.
