Central Application Clearing House (CACH) 2025 is now open. Institutions will start matching qualifying prospective students with available spaces from 27 January 2025.
The South African Government encourages matriculants who have been unsuccessful in obtaining a placement at institutions of higher learning to use the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) provided by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
The Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) service provides an opportunity to learners who have not yet received a place to study at a post-school higher education institution.
You can sign up for CACH if you applied for higher education studies but you were not accepted at any institution at the time of application.
The CACH service is FREE and aims to facilitate the matching of applicants’ National Senior Certificate exam results and study preferences captured during the sign up with places that need to be filled by universities and colleges.
