Bayelsa State New Sanitation Chairman Mr Timothy Diekivie-Iteidu Resumes Duty – Mr. Timothy Diekivie-Iteidu, Chairman of the Bayelsa State Environmental Sanitation Authority, has officially resumed duty at his office in the state Sanitation Authority.
The chairman accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and Board Members of the Environmental Sanitation Authority, carried out a short cleaning exercise around the Onopa and State Secretariat Complex, where he stressed the need for residents to keep their surroundings clean.
Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Diekivie-Iteidu, said having resumed, he thought necessary to lead by example and follow the vision of Governor Douye Diri’s Prosperity Administration’s drive of keeping the state clean and green.
The sanitation board chairman who admonished Bayelsans to keep their surroundings clean and lead a healthy life, said it is only when this is done that the entire state can be clean.
Mr. Ebikebina Ugo, the Permanent Secretary of the Sanitation Authority, who also stressed the need for Bayelsans to lead a healthy lifestyle, said the cleaning exercise embarked upon by the Chairman of the Sanitation Authority, is geared towards keying into the ASSURED Agenda of the Governor Douye Diri in keeping the state clean and healthy.
Comrade Joseph Dan-godson, a Member of the Sanitation Authority Board, Representing Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, said the new initiative by the new sanitation chairman would be extended to all the local government areas across the state.
Highpoints of the event was the signing of his first official file by the Sanitation Chairman.
All those who accompanied the chairman include, Mr. Ebikebina Ugo, the Permanent Secretary of the Sanitation Authority, Comrade Joseph Dan-godson, SILGA, Mr. Lamawal Wilfred-Lucky, OGBIA, Mr. Seigha Augustine Suede, NEMBE, Mr. Adolf Brukpo, EKEREMOR as well as other directors of the authority.
