The team encouraged traders to imbibe the habit of cleanliness by creating time to clean their littered environment after the day’s business, adding that it won’t be business as usual from 2025 as the Authority will implement full enforcement of compliance.
Hon. Timothy launched concern over event organizers not cleaning up littered arena after events, noting that the Authority will not condone such negligence anymore.
He also flagged concern over the high rate of expired and fake consumable products circulating in Bayelsa State, and reaffirmed his commitment to eradicate fake and expired consumable products off markets, as he cautioned traders involved to desist from the barbaric act or face the full wrath of the law, and charged the Health Service officers of the Authority to intensify inspections from next year.

The Sanitation exercise team toured the Swali Market, Kpansia Market, and the Etegwe Market, all in Yenagoa metropolis.
At the Etegwe Market, Hon. Timothy cautioned traders against disposing wastes into the Epie creek to avoid blockage of the natural waterway.

Hon. Timothy however, commended residents within the Yenagoa metropolis that complied fully with the exercise, as residents were seen cleaning up their surroundings during the sanitation hours.
In a brief moment with pressmen, Hon. Timothy emphasized that the urban renewal vision in the ASSURED agenda of His Excellency, Sen.
