Bayelsa Environment Ministry Visits site of Ogbogoro Erosion Control Project at Ogbogoro/Famgbe Communities – Earlier today, the commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo , paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the Site of the Ogbogoro Erosion Control Project at Ogbogoro/Famgbe Communities in Yenagoa LGA to get first hand information on the level of work done.

The Environment Commissioner who was accompanied by the permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Clinton Korubo uncle and the Director of Flood and Erosion Control Department, Mrs. Erebi Wokoro Tracey, said the purpose of the visit was mainly to access the level of work done and profer possible modalities to expedite action for the interest of the affected communities (Ogbogoro and Famgbe).

I am aware of the importance of this project, and the Prosperity Government of Senator Douye Diri has made great commitment in ensuring the completion of this project, we need to expedite action here and not excuses,Ololo added.

The Commissioner also made a brief Stop on his way back at swali market to commemorate the 2024 National Environmental Sanitation Day,with Health officers attached to his ministry where economic trees with high vitality were presented to him.
