Bayelsa States Commissioner for Environment , Honourable Ebi Ben Ololo , has felicitated with Governor Douye Diri, his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewruhjakpo and Bayelsans on the occasion of Nigeria’s sixty-fourth Independence anniversary and twenty-eight year of state creation.
A statement by his Media Aide, Mr. Abel Ifiemi on behalf the Commissioner, commended Governor Diri for his sterling leadership style, which has put Bayelsa state on the fast lane of development.
The statement describes Governor Diri as a blessing to Bayelsa, for his concern and been passionate about the welfare of the people, calling for swift remediation actions of affected communities during oil spill caused by multinationals and pollution from natural disasters.
It reiterates the Ministry’s plan to partner with relevant agencies and organizations to set up a committee for the preservation and conservation of wildlife and places, which will create job opportunities and boost the internall generated revenue of the state.
The statement also pledges the Commissioner’s solidarity for the prosperity administration led by Governor Douye Diri and prayed God to grant him divine wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to an enviable height.
