The Department of Tourism offers Internship opportunities to South African graduates who wish to apply in the fields that are in line with the departmental core business listed below. Applications are invited from candidates in the following disciplines / fields of study:

  • Hiring Organization: Department of Tourism, Republic of South Africa
  • Job Location: Tourism House, 17 Trevenna Street, Sunnyside, Pretoria, South Africa
  • Employment Type: Internship, full time, 24 months
  • Duration:The internship program is offered for a period of 24 months. The successful candidates will be required to sign an internship contract for the duration of two years.
  • Stipend:The interns shall receive a stipend of R7 450.58 per month.

Requirements:

  • Unemployed South African Graduates / Postgraduates, with a tertiary
    qualification in one of the above-mentioned fields of study and who have not been previously employed under any internship programme are invited to apply.
  • Applicants should not be above the age of 35 years. Applications must be submitted on a new Z83 form obtainable from any Public Service Department stating the field for which the applicant is applying (from the above list), and attach your modules to your CV.
  • Failure to submit the required documents will result in the application not being considered.

How To Apply

The Department of Tourism South Africa 2026-2028 Internship Programme application must include only completed and signed new Form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department, and a detailed Curriculum Vitae. Certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and the highest required qualification, will only be submitted by shortlisted candidates to HR on or before the day of the interview date.
