RECRUITMENT OF UNEMPLOYED GRADUATE INTERNS – VARIOUS ROLES NATIONALLY
The Department of Employment and Labour invites qualifying graduates to apply for participation in the internship programme for the 2025 – 2027 financial years.
The Department of Employment and Labour invites South African graduates to participate in its national internship programme for 2025–2027 under the Project 20K initiative. This programme provides unemployed graduates with practical work experience across various roles in all provinces, including Gauteng, Western Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, North West, and Northern Cape. Eligible applicants must be South African citizens, currently unemployed, and hold a matric certificate with a relevant post-school qualification. Preference is given to youth, persons with disabilities, and individuals from previously disadvantaged groups. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of R7,860 over a 24-month contract, gaining valuable skills to enhance their employability while contributing to national workforce development.

Who can Apply
- South African citizens.
- Individuals who are unemployed and seeking workplace experience.
- Those who have not previously participated in any internship programme.
- Holders of a matric certificate and a relevant post-school qualification.
- Preference will be given to qualifying South African youth, persons with disabilities, and individuals from previously disadvantaged groups.
Note: Selection criteria will be applied according to the specific requirements of each role.
