The Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) has opened applications for re-admission and re-instatement for the upcoming academic intake. The opportunity targets former students who were previously discontinued, excluded, or withdrew from their programmes, as well as those seeking to transfer from other tertiary institutions with programmes that articulate with BUAN. Eligible diploma graduates who qualify for exemptions may also apply. All applicants are encouraged to review the university’s regulations and follow the online application process before the December 2025 deadline.
Applications are open to students that fall within the following categories:
- Former students who were previously enrolled in various programmes but were not successful Fall & Discontinue, Fall and Exclude and Withdrawal that the University is open for applications for re-admission and re-instatement.
- In order to qualify for re-admission, students should satisfy all University regulations on Fall and Discontinue (FD), Fall and Exclude (FE) and Withdrawal.
- Students who are currently studying with other tertiary institutions, whose programmes articulates with BUAN programmes and wish to transfer to BUAN are also invited to apply.
- This also applies to students who are not currently enrolled and are eligible to enrol back with their institution, they may also apply.
- Graduates with Diploma qualifications that articulates with BUAN programmes who may qualify for exemptions in excess of 30 credits/120 credits may also apply to enrol in the January intake.
NOTE: Students who were granted their sponsorship for semester 1 2025/2026 but were unable to utilize them, can contact the Academic Services Department to get assistance for enronment in this intake.
All applications (excluding applicants for reinstatement and retakes) as required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Buy 150 on day of registration.
