Job Purpose
Reporting to the Principal administratively and functionally to the University College Council on the internal audit matters of the University, the Chief Internal Auditor shall formulate and implement annual strategic plans for the audit department in order to ensure departmental strategy meets the university set objectives.

Overall Eligibility 

Applicants must meet the following general requirements in addition to the specific qualifications listed for each position:

Academic Qualifications

For administrative positions (Chief Internal Auditor, Senior Procurement Officer, Quantity Surveyor), a Master’s degree or relevant diploma/HND with professional certifications is required.

For academic positions (Senior Lecturer, Lecturer), an earned PhD from a recognized university is mandatory, plus evidence of research and teaching experience.

Professional Registration

Applicants must be registered with the relevant professional bodies where applicable (e.g., ICPAK, IIA, procurement boards, etc.) and be in good standing.

Work Experience

Senior roles require at least 10–15 years of relevant professional experience, with several years at a senior level.

Lecturers and senior lecturers must demonstrate university teaching experience and research outputs in peer-reviewed journals.

Computer Proficiency

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in relevant computer applications and software used in their profession (e.g., auditing tools, procurement systems, or academic teaching platforms).

Tenure of Service

The appointment of the position of Chief Internal Auditor shall be on Contract terms of service for five (5) years. The positions of Senior Procurement Officer, Quantity Surveyor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer shall be on Permanent & Pensionable upon satisfactory completion of six (6) months probation period and subject to satisfactory performance.
