Applications are now open for the Recruitment of Unemployed Youth for the Food & Beverage Learnership Programme 2025 in the North West Province of South Africa. This programme is designed to equip unemployed youth with industry-relevant skills while creating opportunities for them to gain work experience in the tourism and hospitality sector.
The Department of Tourism continues to invest in building a skilled workforce to support South Africa’s growing hospitality industry. Through this initiative, participants will be placed with host employers in their communities, where they will gain practical exposure and receive a monthly stipend.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following selection criteria:
- Applicants must be aged between 18–35.
- Matric certificate with English fluency is required; a Tourism and Hospitality qualification is preferred (submit certified copies).
- Submit a CV and a motivational letter.
- Include a certified copy of your ID.
- Provide proof of residence and any other relevant certificates.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and as required.
- Demonstrate a passion for Tourism and Hospitality and a desire to grow in the sector.
- If you have previously participated in the Department’s learnership or skills programmes, declare this in your motivational letter.
- People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Participants will be placed with host employers within their nearest home towns.
