Kenya Government Disburses Ksh.4.6 Billion for June-July 2025 Inua Jamii Programme.The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, through the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs, has released Ksh.Four Billion, Six Hundred and Seven Million, Six Hundred and Sixty-Eight Thousand 4,607,668,000) for payment to 1,151,917 Older Persons and Persons Living With Severe Disabilities enrolled in the Inua Jamil Program.
The disbursement covers stipends for both the June and July 2025 payment cycles.Each beneficiary will receive Ksh.4,000,representing Ksh.2,000 per month for the two months.Payments commenced today.
The June cycle payment had been delayed due to a data cleanup exercise.The State Department apologizes to beneficiaries for any inconvenience caused by the delay.
The Inua Jamil Cash Transfer Programme aims to alleviate poverty and promote the well-being of society’s most vulnerable members, including older persons aged 70 and above, orphans and vulnerable children, and persons with severe disability.

In line with the government’s commitment to ensuring universal health coverage, the Ministry encourages all Inua Jamil beneficiaries to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to access affordable and quality healthcare.

What is Inua Jamii?
Inua Jamii is the Government of Kenya’s (GoK’s) flagship National Safety Net
Program (NSNP) for the beneficiaries of:
- Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (CT-OVC)
- Older Persons Cash Transfer (OPCT).
- Persons with Severe Disabilities Cash Transfer (PWSD-CT)
- Hunger Safety Net Programme (HSNP)
The objective of Inua Jamii is to uplift the lives of poor and vulnerable citizens of
Kenya through regular and reliable bi-monthly cash transfers.
What is the value of cash transfer amount paid to the household or
beneficiary?
- KSh 2,000 per month (KSh 4,000 is paid bi-monthly) to CT-OVC, OPCT and
PWSD-CT beneficiaries or households. - KSh 5,400 is paid bi-monthly to HSNP households.
