Malawi 2025 Primary Teacher Certificate of Education (PTCE) IPTE18 Results Released.The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education has released the 2025 Primary Teacher Certificate of Education (PTCE) IPTE 18 Examination Results.
For a candidate to pass the Primary Teacher Certificate of Education (PTCE) Examination he/she must pass all the seven subjects including Teaching Practice.
Out of the 7,132 candidates who sat for this examination, 7,095 have passed. This represents 99.48% pass rate.
Out of the 3,923 female candidates who sat for this examination, 3,908 have passed. This represents 99.62% pass rate.
Out of the 3,209 male candidates who sat for this examination, 3,187 have passed. This represents 99.31% pass rate.
Out of the 49 Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates, 22 females and 27 males, who sat for this examination, 49 have passed. This represents 100% pass rate.
The top five Teacher Training Colleges, based on percentage of candidates with As and Bs in descending order are: Maryam Girls (75.86%); Phalombe TTC (63.14%), St Joseph TTC (56.87%), Down TTC (84.51%) and Mimba TTC (52.65%).
The bottom five Teacher Training Colleges, based on percentage of candidates with As and Bs in ascending order are: Blantyre (ISAMA) (23.08%), Dream TTC (24.16%), Theodora Van Rossum (33.88%), Lilongwe (ISAMA) (34.34%) and Machinga TTC (36.45%).
The order of performance of candidates by subject based on percentage of candidates with As and Bs is as follows: Arts and Life Skills (49.59%), Integrated Science & Technology (48.25%), English (44.43%), Social and Religious Studies (43.55%), Chichewa (43.21%), Mathematics (42.22%) and Education Foundations (20.95%).

Examination centres and candidates will access their results online. Examination centres will be able to access results through their e-Registration Portal. The results will be available in downloadable PDF documents. The centres are further advised to download results from the portal by 10th August, 2025.
Individual candidates or their parent/guardian will be able to access results online using the following link https://maneb.malawi265.com/examresults/. To ensure security, a candidate’s results will be retrieved using the correct examination number and date of birth.
All candidates wishing to query their results should do so in writing through the Principal of the college where they sat for the examination. MANEB will not consider any query about the results made directly to the Board by candidates or any other individual.
All queries should reach MANEB by 18th August, 2025. After this date no further queries will be considered.
