Botswana Tlokweng College of Education 2025/26 Hostel Acommodation Application Now Open. Tlokweng College of Education invites newly admitted students to apply for hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic year.

GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS’ ALLOCATION FOR ACCOMODATION TO HALLS OF RESIDENCE

The college has a provision for student’s accommodation at a limited capacity. As a result, students will be admitted in the hostels as per the College Guidelines on Accommodation to Halls of Residence.

Due to a huge intake of students, not all students will be accommodated into the college halls of residence. Only students eligible according to the guidelines will be admitted into hostels.

Eligibility Criteria and Process

Students satisfying the following eligibility criteria will be considered on the priority list;

Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other special cases accompanied by authentic supporting documentation.

Students whose parents, guardians reside at a distance within Gaborone, greater Gaborone and a commutable distance will not be accommodated.

• Interviews may be conducted when need arises. Reservation is provided as per the college guidelines for allocation of accommodation into halls of residence.

• Hostel accommodation will be offered per an academic year. A student admitted into the hostel is allowed to occupy a hostel till the last date of the examination in a particular academic year.

• Returning students should make their applications in June/July prior to the beginning of the academic year.

• After completing Year 1, all year 2 students will exit the hostels to become off-campus in exception of the OVC, SEN and other specified special cases with authentic supporting documents.

• Student Representative Council (SRC) members will share in cases of acute shortage of accommodation.

• Students with outstanding arrears in their tuition accounts will not be eligible for an accommodation.

General Expectations on Eligible Candidates

Students who have been finalised for allocation of accommodation into hostels must avail the following documents;

i) A certified copy of a national identity or passport (in a case of international students).
ii) A copy of admission letter.
iii) A copy of receipt for payment of fees.
iv) An authentic medical certificate/report in a case of illnesses.
v) A certified copy of school leaving certificate (BGCSE, IGCSE or equivalent/other relevant).

After an offer, a student should complete a hostel contract form.

The accommodated students should reside in the rooms they have been allocated.

The accommodated students will not be allowed to prepare food in the room. If any student violates this rule, their accommodation status will be revoked immediately.
