Call for Application – Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) 2025 Graduate Trainee Opportunities. The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) has opened application for various internship opportunities for Uganda youths to apply.
- The Graduate Trainee – Planning Engineer x1. will support the design, planning, and analysis of electrical distribution systems under the guidance of senior engineers. The role aims to provide practical exposure to network assessments, performance evaluations, and project planning processes while enhancing technical knowledge and professional skills relevant to power distribution systems.
- Graduate Trainee – Commercial Operations x13. To support the operations and maintenance of the electrical distribution network within a designated area by assisting with routine inspections, fault resolution, safety enforcement, and customer service. The trainee will gain practical experience in power distribution systems and contribute to delivering reliable and efficient electricity services.
- The Graduate Trainee – GIS x1. Supports the GIS team in collecting, managing, and updating spatial data. The role provides exposure to GIS tools, mapping, and analysis to support engineering, planning, and decision-making activities. Under supervision, the trainee assists in maintaining GIS databases, creating maps, and learning how to apply GIS in utility management and infrastructure development.
- The Graduate Trainee – Design Engineer X1. Supports the development of electrical distribution system designs under the guidance of senior engineers. The trainee will assist in preparing technical drawings, conducting basic calculations, and learning design standards and tools, while gaining hands-on experience in electrical system design for new infrastructure and system upgrades.
- Graduate Trainee – Protection and Communication X2. To support the Protection and Communication Engineering team in maintaining, testing, and learning the design principles of protection, control, and communication schemes used in the electrical distribution network. The trainee will gain hands-on exposure to protection systems, control equipment, and voltage regulation technologies, contributing to the safe and reliable operation of the network.
