Kazi Mtaani Salary for 2025: What You Need to Know. The Kazi Mtaani initiative is officially back under the Climate Workx Youth Employment Initiative, which will enroll 113,000 young people for manual jobs over six months starting at the end of June 2025.
The program, funded with a Ksh.5 billion allocation from the Ministry of Roads, will operate in 46 counties, excluding Nairobi, where a similar initiative already engages over 20,000 youth.
Youth from the 46 counties have 10 days to register online before a manual recruitment exercise conducted by chiefs and assistant chiefs.
The government, through Principal Secretaries Charles Hinga (Housing), Raymond Omollo (Interior), and Joseph Mbugua (Roads), stated that only one family member is eligible, with priority given to low-income households.
“We’re targeting low-income individuals aged 20-35 to improve their livelihoods,” said PS Hinga.
PS Omollo added: “We’ve had a well-coordinated program in Nairobi that prevents political interference.”
PS Mbugua noted, “The work will include pathways and bridges.”
President William Ruto’s reintroduction of Kazi Mtaani under the Climate Resilience Service Program (CRSP) marks a shift from his earlier stance as Deputy President. Applicants must submit details online via the CRSP website (Find details HERE).
