HESLGB Malawi 2025/2026 Students Loan Application Now Open – The Higher Education Students’ Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) has officially opened the 2025/2026 loan application window!
Deadline: Applications start today April 1st, 2025, and close on May 30th, 2025.

Eligibility criteria:
- Students selected for or pursuing accredited generic degree programs.
- Private HEI students must have 6 MSCE credits or equivalent.
- ODeL students already benefiting from SAVE must reapply (no new SAVE applications).
Required Documents
ALL applicants must upload:
1. National ID.
2. Guarantor ID & Consent Form.
3. Student ID / Admission Letter (for 1st years).
4.MSCE Certificate (Private HEI students).
5. Proof of MK10,000 fee payment.
Bank Payment Details
Pay the MK10,000 processing fee to any of these accounts:
National Bank

NBS Bank
21942243 – Capital City Branch.
Upload proof of payment after applying.
